The Wine Wall Calendar No. 2 from Flein 2024

Why is it the Flein Photo Calendar No. 2? Because the first beautiful Flein photo calendar has been available for several years now. Exactly ... since 2017. In 2016 a photo competition took place in Flein and the result is definitely worth seeing. Many experts took part, and you can inform yourself in detail on the website of the organizer, the BürgerStiftung Flein. Click here to get there. Back then, it was not easy for the jury to determine the winners. 150 photos were sent in, and today the most beautiful ones adorn this first Flein Wine Calendar. It deserves this title because wine is also a particularly dominant theme in this work.

The main difference? The first Flein photo calendar is "a perpetual calendar". The one from my Publishing House has a calendrical that is freshly created every year: It is only valid for one year at a time. So the first is actually, really not a calendar at all, but there are 13 wonderful picture motifs, photographed in Flein.

The second Flein photo calendar, which has nothing to do with the first, nothing at all. It was not created after a photo competition, it has a completely different layout, it was not initiated by the Flein BürgerStiftung, and it is a little closer to the Flein wine, even though wine plays a role on almost every monthly page in the 2017 Flein photo calendar.

Twelve Cool Collages in the Flein Photo Calendar Number 2 "Wine & Flein" ... the Wine Wall Calendar from the Miniature Calendar Publishing House "Bach 4 You" in Flein

 2

"Back Then and Now" could be the name of this January page in the Flein photo calendar No. 2. But it is not.

Steles can be found all around and of course also in Flein. And vineyards ... of course as well.

March in Flein: Of course there are no grapes at this time of the year ... but as a part of the picture you may add it to the collage. In the center of the community the information on the left side of the motive are a part of the well. And this also applies to the picture on the right.

The Little Carmelite House in the Flein Photo Calendar No. 2, the wine calendar of "Bach 4 You": It's not easy to photograph it today, so that you don't have these many ugly smears in your picture. It's a good thing that there is at least image software with which you can make this photo suitable for the calendar.

In order to include such a collage in the wine calendar, you must first simply know that Queen Elizabeth II drank Flein wine, Fleiner Altenberg Spätlese, at the 1965 state feast in Bonn the back then capital, when she visited Germany. Next, you need a picture of her  and that's the challenge on this calendar page  and where do you get a royalty-free motif from? Wikipedia is not an option, because this website  on which you are currently reading – is a website of my Publisher and therefore the use of Wikipedia motifs is not permitted. Stamps, on the other hand, issued by the state, may be published if the entire stamp or the printed product is reproduced. Then it is ... tolerated. Officially. Well, let's include the cool motif at the top of the wine calendar.

The Flein residents know that, and the Fleiners regret it. They are dirty graffiti that spoil the fun at the "summit" of the Staufenberg, at the Staufenberg cottage walls. This small building is practically impossible to photograph without knowing a lot about electronic retouching. But ... we do, and so you can see this little Flein landmark here ... and ... intact. And of course we work seriously: The refuge, others call it pavilion, belongs to Heilbronn. We are there, simply ... opposing it. And the question remains whether the calendar shouldn't then be called "Wine & Flein and a few feet around". Rather ... not. But: The author  my husband Peter, who has been living with me for about 40 years  did the math without my Publisher and the author and publisher (... he and I) actually decide to check the Flein Photo Calendar No. 1, how the BürgerStiftung Flein decided to look at that back then. Because if one had argued, as in the paragraph above, it would have been an extremely cool motif. But no, the Staufenberg House is not included in the calendar 2017. And so author and publisher (... now you already know who that is) came up with a new composition. Of course, this is getting harder and harder. And taking a doublet photo with the donkey, the winegrower and the goose, which then corresponds to the first-class original in the Flein photo calendar 1 ... no ... who does such a thing?! Below now the calendar motive "June", as it is up-to-date in the wine calendar.

Yes, that's how nobody will complain ... and we think Haigern and Staufenberg are the Flein "house mountains". Felt ... in any case. Oh, yes  PS  with the remaining of the original June calendar sheet at least on this website, the two hours effort to electronically remove all graffiti on the Flein landmark was not in vain.

A view of Flein over the development area in the south of the community. And yes, the poppy blossoms were almost more important than the village itself. In this respect, this motif would probably have had the least chance of winning the photo competition.

On the left again the fountain, another perspective and thus two "Veits in the Potty" are shown on this calendar page of the Flein wine calendar No. 2. The large one stands in the "Flein prairie", so to speak.

Where could this sign be in Flein? Do you know it? And also ... exciting, exciting ... it warns even car drivers who, before their school days, can not yet read. But ... not seriously now.

This sign has always fascinated my husband. So you wait for sunshine, take pictures, remove almost any dirt from the past decade electronically, check for a fall picture archive photo and place one in front of the other. After that, the October calendar page in the wine calendar "Wine & Flein" is ready.

You have to know it – again – first,  in order to put it together later to a monthly sheet in the second Flein Photo Calendar, the Wine Wall Calendar "Wine & Flein": In 1951, a young Flein resident, Hildegard Seitz, born in Flein, became the Baden-Württemberg Wine Queen. Peter Bach Sr. already knew this when he put together a slide show about Flein many decades ago. But there are no more pictures of that time. Today the search therefore works  from zero  on the internet. And there you can find the list of Württemberg Wine Queens since 1950, but no picture of Hildegard Seitz. In fact, this was the last but one calendar page that made it from idea to realization. First, my husband Peter interviewed an elderly couple in the village center and asked if they knew a Seitz vineyard. The conversation came quickly to the topic of the wine queen and the two sent my husband to the Wine and Beverage House Armbruster. After a few seconds Mr. Armbruster handed him the certificate you can see above and then my husband also got the information that he is allowed to reproduce a picture of Hildegard Seitz in an old family photo album. And so everything fit: We received the album, the permission and from the local newspaper the background report of the event. What ... a day.

Topic: Weingärtnergenossenschaft (... Winegrowers' cooperative) in Flein. It is rare to get so close to such a motif. If the position of the sun also fits and the shadows are perfect, the result is a cool picture. If ... yes, if you approached with a rag, with water and with a household ladder, in order to remove the actually not at all noticeable spider webs before. Afterwards ... the work of art is as new and can now be used as a December page in the Flein Wine Calendar "Wine & Flein", the second Flein photo calendar.

A picture collage around the author of the wine calendars, Peter Bach Jr. (... my husband), because he is, on the left in the picture above ... that was a while ago ... and he is right in the picture, "in action". In the middle he is as well, together with me, Renate Bach. With my Publishing House "Bach 4 You" we do not only offer 99 + 3 music calendars, but also twelve wine calendars.
